DCHOA Registration

Summer is a great time to recruit new officials and get a head start on your USA Hockey requirements for the upcoming season. Complete your registration and sign up for seminars early, as many sessions fill quickly in the fall.

Recruiting New Officials: high-school students, adults, male and female
If you have friends, family or teammates who are interested in officiating, please refer them to the I Want to Be a Referee page. DCHOA provides a lot of support for new officials, including on-ice training sessions in August and September.

Reminder: New officials must be 14 years old or older as on November 1.

DCHOA Registration for 2026-27
Renew your registration on the DCHOA Education site (your current membership is valid until December 1, 2026). Parents can login to the site and then switch to their child’s account to renew.

Registration Reminders
Moving up a level is strongly recommended, to continue your officiating development.

Register as an official at https://membership.usahockey.com
Register for your online seminar in the USA Hockey Learning Center (use the same username/password from last season, or use the forgot password/forgot username links).
Online Education modules, Playing Rules exercise and (if required) Safe Sport training and Background Check are also in the Learning Center.
