The Season Starts Now

The leaves are turning and the main part of our season is starting. We have had a good start to the season thus far with a mix of Tier I and II games and showcases. Over the next couple weeks, youth games will start up in earnest and our season will be in full swing. We are again expecting an increase in games that we schedule, so be sure to submit availability. Submitting regular availability is the best way to get assigned games.

We are nearing the end of the USA Hockey registration window for the 2026–27 season. As a reminder, registration is an annual requirement, so all officials must complete their registration and other season requirements each year. If you haven’t received your 2026–27 crest yet, take time to check that you’ve completed everything required. Your current membership remains valid through December 1, so be sure to get your requirements finished before then.

Lastly, we recently wrapped up our new level 1 officials training program. I want to thank all of the new officials for participating, as well as all of our coaches who were there to provide instruction and make sure our new officials felt supported and welcomed to DCHOA. I am excited to see the new officials out on the ice in the upcoming weeks as they skate their first games!

As things get into full swing, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. See you all at the rink!
